Is this the sealant to use on the standard Lanshan 2 as well? IE: NOT the pro version.

I can’t seem to find this bag for sale with the tent straps on the bottom and the Trecking pole loops. Have those features been discontinued?

I really liked this roundup - thank you! But I do want to note that the Exos 48 seems to have been updated in 2022, changing some of the things talked about in the design (e.g. the straps are different, and there's waist strap pockets now). So people watching this will want to also cross-check some more recent reviews of the Exos 48.

I use the large orange pegs in sand and snow. I agree the delta pegs are bulky. Mine came in a delta bag. I’ve found this video because I’m looking at TITAN ground anchors purely because they stack well for travel storage.

I have an 14 year old MSR Hubba Hubba HP that the seam tape was flaking off and coating was going sticky on the fly. I ended up machine washing the fly at the laundromat 3 times. The first wash was 50 degrees. The tape is gone and the stickiness is gone along with the msr label. I’m going to use the WP version of this as I have it already and I feel the silicon coating is gone now. After I’ll use nikwax tent sealer to try and restore the silicon/ waterproofing. Hoping to restore the tent to get another 10 years or more out of it.

I like how you compare it with Osprey as I’m obsessed with it.

It is an AMAZING little rucksack which I have carried tucked up free as underseat baggage with compressed gear inside. I walked from Madrid north for two weeks with it on the Camino. The loops are good for pulling when you're bored and fed up with the position. I loved it and it was 17 euros. There is little not to like about this bargain. I hope Decathlon keep the model going.

I got one of these and its dirt cheap and a good weekender bag that might pass on as a "personal item". Im planning to get another one which I could strap down my tent, chuck in my sleeping bag and some survival stuff and be my go-bag.

Great little tips... I personally would of just got a few more of the guy adjusters and put one on each inner tent corner guy. Saying that the bungee idea is super simple and no doubt reliable.

The Deltas designed for frame tents, marquees and the like so are somewhat over-engineered for small shelters. You can save some weight by drilling them out to a sensible degree. They don't cost much, so it's not expensive to experiment. Their holding power is unmatched. Just a couple on the key structural guys can be a game-changer on soft ground.

Are Delta pegs available in the US?

The y pegs you like have a little notch to hold the guyline. What is to stop the guyline slipping off the peg if gets loose such as the leeside during a gust or wet guylines? With regard to hard ground pegs, had some hilleberg ones which I would hammer in with a rubber mallet. Eventually the heads came off a few of them

the seam sealing service was 35 euro on top of the 180 or so the tent cost me, didn't seem like the worst thing in the world. Still almost just as good value a tent, I don't know why more people don't just do that

Learn to use the camera focus.

I've been using the 20l one for years. I've not been very nice to it and used it a lot. So far NOTHING broke or even shows signs or wear. So I bought the 30l one and the 10l one. These backpacks are virtually for free and they last forever (at least my 20l one).

Really like my Tallon 44, it's a beast in performance. I have carried 15kg as starting weight on multiday hikes and when it's packed well it performs just as good on a lighter load. Only issue is the pockets on the belt, the zippers sucks when closing them.

The thing I’ve never understood about those slip knots on the corners of the bathtub - is yes you can adjust to make loop bigger but the loop will just slip back to its original length anyway. How did your additional bungee work out?
